Be a guest co-host

The process of joining Joy in the Journey Radio as a guest co-host is simple.

1. First, we'll establish a time to get together.  You can meet the host in person, or you can call in from wherever you are.
2. We'll record our conversation about a prearranged topic.  This can be one we provide to you or one you provide.  The recording process takes about 40 minutes.
3. The raw audio is then edited for content and length.  This process both improves the quality of the conversation for our listeners and protects the public image of our guests.
4. Finally, we assemble the edited audio into a new episode of Joy in the Journey Radio and post it to a page that is not linked to the rest of the website.  This enables our guests to preview the program before the public accesses it.  If any guest is uncomfortable with anything, we work to resolve their concerns.  When we receive final approval, we link the program to the rest of the website and make it public.

If you're going to talk about LDS singles issues anyway, you might as well do it in a forum with the potential to benefit LDS singles everywhere.  Volunteer to come on the program today!

Supply a recipe

You can promote healthy eating among LDS singles by submitting a recipe for the Recipe page.  Make sure your submission meets the following guidelines:

1. The recipe must be easy to prepare to accommodate busy schedules.
   
2. The recipe must be inexpensive to make (this is best accomplished by using ingredients that are commonly available in most grocery stores and avoiding rare ingredients available only in specialty shops or high-priced outlets).
3. The recipe must be sized to feed 6 people.  This will help single parents with young mouths to feed.
4. Speaking of young mouths, the recipe must be kid friendly (and preferably kid tested, though that is not mandatory).
5. A photo of the finished product and each major step must be provided with the recipe.

Write a blog post

If you're too shy to have your voice appear on the program, you could still help produce content for the program.  Keep in mind these minimum guidelines:

1. The post must treat an area of interest to LDS singles, since they are the main audience.
2. The post should conform to LDS standards and be consistent with the other posts already published.
3. The post (including title and all subtitles) must have a word count no less than 250 words and no greater than 800 words.
4. The post must be approved by the host.

Comment on a blog post

Many of the blog posts on the site have zero comments.  Start a conversation and encourage others to comment by being the first to comment on a post.
